The point of smoking should be made legal is a controversial issue. The thing that made debatable this subject is priorities among people's health and rights. Although the defenders of smoking believe that it is a human rights, smoking should be made illegal for two main reasons. To begin with, the habit of smoking cigarettes is very unhealthy. It leads to some diseases such as lung cancer, throat cancer. The studies show that many people die in the world every year. This is the only way that it is forbidden to preserve their life. Secondly, smoking has bad effects on non-smokers. A person who smokes doesn't have a right to indispose them. Furthermore, it is estimated that being a second-hand smoker is as danger as being a smoker. Despite those strong arguments against the issue, those who are in favor of smoking claim that it is a human right. The proponents of the issue have a point, but it must be made illegal. To conclude, it is crucial that smoking should be made prohibited due to smokers' healthy and the fact that it affects second-hand smokers as much as smokers.
